Chimney inspections in Metro Detroit
What we look at
Accessible cap, crown, masonry, flashing and fireplace conditions; signs of moisture, blockage or deterioration; and the type of appliance connected to the chimney. Camera work, when included in your written scope, helps document accessible interior surfaces.
When to request an inspection
Before using an unfamiliar fireplace, after a leak, when something changes in its operation, or as part of routine annual care. A home purchase, appliance change or suspected chimney fire may require a more detailed inspection than a basic visual review.
What you receive
An explanation of observed conditions, photographs where practical, and a written scope for recommended work. We distinguish maintenance from repair and identify anything requiring further specialist evaluation. A limited visit does not certify concealed areas.
